In the 2026/27 season, Slovenian bass Peter Dolinšek continues to expand his repertoire at Oper Leipzig with several major roles. He takes on the title role in a new production of Mozart’s LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, appears as the Priest in Kaija Saariaho’s INNOCENCE and sings Talpa in Puccini’s IL TRITTICO. Further roles include Colline in LA BOHÈME, Sarastro in DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE, Zaretsky and a Captain in EUGEN ONEGIN, and Baron di Trombonok in IL VIAGGIO A REIMS. He also returns to established roles in his Leipzig repertoire as Masetto in DON GIOVANNI and the Sacristan in TOSCA.

Peter Dolinšek has been a member of the ensemble at Oper Leipzig since the 2022/23 season. His roles there have included Masetto in DON GIOVANNI, the Sacristan in TOSCA, Hans in UNDINE and Curio in GIULIO CESARE IN EGITTO.

His career is also increasingly taking him beyond Leipzig. He has appeared as Curio in Handel’s GIULIO CESARE IN EGITTO at Deutsche Oper am Rhein and as Colline in Puccini’s LA BOHÈME at Theater Chemnitz.

Dolinšek has worked with conductors including Matthias Foremny, Christoph Gedschold, Antonino Fogliani, Jonathan Darlington and Rubén Dubrovsky.

Born in Ljubljana, Peter Dolinšek began his vocal training in 2013 at the Vič-Rudnik Music School with Prof. Alenka Slokar Bajc. He subsequently continued his studies in Vienna with Dr Michail Lanskoi and Prof. Akiko Nakajima. Further artistic guidance came from KS Prof. Roland Schubert at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig.
