Soprano Eleonore Marguerre commands a wide-ranging repertoire extending from the Classical and Romantic periods to major roles of the late-Romantic and 20th-century repertoire. Her most recent engagements include Minnie in Puccini’s LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST at Landestheater Detmold and Agathe in Weber’s DER FREISCHÜTZ at Staatstheater Cottbus. Following her successful role debut as Minnie in the 2024/25 season, she returned to Landestheater Detmold for further performances of the role.

Guest engagements have taken Eleonore Marguerre to numerous leading opera houses across Europe and beyond. She has appeared as Rosalinde (DIE FLEDERMAUS) at the New National Theatre Tokyo and at the opera houses of Toulon, Rennes, Nantes, Avignon and Lausanne. Further engagements include Violetta (LA TRAVIATA) at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Leonore (FIDELIO) at Staatstheater Cottbus, Isolde (LE VIN HERBÉ) at Oper Frankfurt, Agathe (DER FREISCHÜTZ) at Oper Leipzig and Arabella (ARABELLA) at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. At the Grand Théâtre de Genève, she performed Saffi (DER ZIGEUNERBARON) and Manon, while her appearances at La Monnaie in Brussels included the Fox/Lisak (THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN), Elisabeth (FRANKENSTEIN) and Woglinde (DAS RHEINGOLD). Further roles have taken her to the Musiktheater im Revier, as well as to Oper Bonn and the Wuppertaler Bühnen as Hanna Glawari (DIE LUSTIGE WITWE).

Marguerre has enjoyed a close artistic collaboration with director Jens-Daniel Herzog. During his tenure as Artistic Director of Oper Dortmund, her roles included the title roles in Massenet’s MANON and Strauss’ ARABELLA, as well as Violetta (LA TRAVIATA), Marguerite (FAUST), Contessa Almaviva (LE NOZZE DI FIGARO), Fiordiligi (COSÌ FAN TUTTE) and Poppea in Monteverdi’s L’INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA. At Staatstheater Nürnberg, she appeared under his direction in roles including Natasha Rostova (WAR AND PEACE), Tomiri (TALESTRI) and the Grand Duchess of Gerolstein.

Eleonore Marguerre studied in Karlsruhe and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she graduated in voice with distinction. She is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, including the Boris Christoff Competition (2009), the Marcello Viotti Concours (2008) and the Leyla Gencer Voice Competition (2006).
