DEUTSCHE OPER BERLIN – SONGS AND POETS

Information

In opposition to the pathos of grand opera and the weariness of Romanticism, composers from 1900 onwards repeatedly adopted the light, ambiguous tone of the cabaret. The evening with Christine Buffle, Thomas Blondelle and Jörg Schörner brings together examples by Poulenc, Satie, Kurt Weill and others.
