The croatian mezzo-soprano Jelena Kordić studied with Ruža Pospiš Baldani at the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb in Croatia and continues her studies privately with Deborah Polaski and Sherman Lowe.

Since the season 2018/2019 she is a member of the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where she works as Charlotte (WERTHER), Adalgisa (NORMA), Hansel (HANSEL UND GRETEL), Smeraldine (DIE LIEBE ZU DEN 3 ORANGEN) Octavian (DER ROSENKAVALIER), Agnese (BEATRICE DI TENDA) and as Carmen (CARMEN).

Guest engagements led the artist as Hansel (HANSEL AND GRETEL) to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, third Magd (ELEKTRA) Concertgebouw Amsterdam, as Hansel (HANSEL UND GRETEL), Prinz Orlofsky THE BAT) and as Emilia (OTELLO) to the Semperoper in Dresden

From 2015-2017 Jelena Kordić was a member of the Young Ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden, 2017-2018 ensemble member of the Staatstheater Braunschweig.

Her repertoire includes parts such as: Cherubino (LE NOZZE DI FIGARO), Dorabella (COSÌ FAN TUTTE), Sesto (LA CLEMENZA DI TITO), Fox (DAS SCHLAUE FÜCHSLEIN), Lola (CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA), Olga (EUGEN ONEGIN), Fenena (NABUCCO), Meg Page (FALSTAFF) and Adalgisa (NORMA).
